UPDATE: THE BOIL WATER ORDER IS LIFTED.
The Ellsworth Water Department has issued a Boil Water Order for customers on the streets listed below until further notice.
The order is being issued due to the possibility of unsafe water following the water main break on Bridge Hill.
Areas Included in the Boil Water Order
The order applies to Ellsworth Water Department customers on:
- Grant Street
- Liberty Street
- Chapel Street
- Willow Street
- Youngs Avenue
- Bucksport Road — from Court Street to Chapel Street
- Laurel Street
- Upper South Street
- Maple Street
What You Need to Do
Customers in the affected area should boil all water for at least five minutes before:
- Drinking
- Making ice
- Washing or preparing food
- Brushing teeth
- Any other activity involving consumption of water
The Boil Water Order will remain in effect until further notice.
