With warm summer temperatures in the forecast, Healthy Acadia, Inspire Community Recovery Center, and the City of Ellsworth are working together to provide a cool place to relax and recharge.
A Cooling Center will be open on Thursday, July 2, and Friday, July 3, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at:

The Cooling Center offers a safe, welcoming, air-conditioned space for anyone who needs relief from the heat. Whether you’re looking to cool down for a little while, relax, or simply enjoy a comfortable place to escape high temperatures, everyone is welcome.
As temperatures rise, remember to:
💧 Drink plenty of water.
🌳 Take breaks in the shade or air conditioning.
👵 Check in on older family members, neighbors, and friends.
🐾 Don’t forget your pets—they need relief from the heat too!
