Grab your costumes, gather your friends and get ready for a little Halloween magic on Main Street!

This Saturday, October 31, 2026, the Ellsworth Recreation Commission and The Grand are teaming up to bring a Halloween Costume Parade to downtown Ellsworth, and everyone’s invited to join the fun!

 🎃

The parade kicks off at 3 p.m. at S.K. Whiting Park, where our costumed kiddos, along with their friends and families, will gather before making their way down Main Street on the sidewalks. Members of the Ellsworth Police Department will provide an escort to help keep our little ghosts, goblins, princesses and superheroes safe along the route.

The parade will end at School Street, but the Halloween fun doesn’t have to stop there!

A Parade Powered by Imagination!

Forget the trucks and floats! This parade is all about the kids, their creativity and the magic of dressing up. Will we see some KPop Demon Hunters? Perhaps a classic Spider-Man making his way downtown? We’re personally hoping for a Buzz Lightyear and Woody sighting — and maybe even a mystical Ariel! Whatever the costumes, we can’t wait to see downtown filled with Halloween spirit!

Come Watch, Cheer and Enjoy Downtown Ellsworth!

We invite the whole community to come out and cheer on our youngest Halloween enthusiasts!

Here’s what you need to know:

  • When: Saturday, October 31, 2026, at 3 p.m.
  • Where: Starting at S.K. Whiting Park, traveling along Main Street and ending at School Street.
  • Who: Costumed children and their friends and families.
  • Safety: All parade participants must remain on the sidewalks throughout the parade. The road will remain open to vehicle traffic, and members of the Ellsworth Police Department will provide an escort.

Please help us keep everyone safe by staying on the sidewalks and following the directions of the police officers accompanying the parade.

And a friendly heads-up to our downtown businesses: You may have a few trick-or-treaters knocking on your door! We’d love to see our shop owners join in the Halloween spirit.

Once the parade wraps up, why not make an afternoon of it? Explore our downtown shops, grab a bite to eat and enjoy everything Ellsworth has to offer. Questions? Contact Kim at The Grand at (207) 812-0172.

So, Ellsworth, dust off those witch hats, straighten those superhero capes and get ready for some Halloween fun!

We’ll see you on Main Street! Happy Halloween from The Friendly City! 🎃👻
