The City of Ellsworth is proud to support the 15th Annual Hancock County Food Drive, taking place April 4–11, and we’re especially grateful to see members of our Ellsworth Police Department stepping up to help lead the effort locally.
“Our officers are part of this community, and supporting our neighbors is at the heart of what we do,” say Troy Bires, Chief of Police, Ellsworth Police Department. “We’re honored to take part in the food drive and encourage everyone to join us in helping where they can.”
This annual county-wide initiative brings neighbors together to support food security organizations across the region. As highlighted in this year’s campaign, every contribution makes a difference—$40,000 can help provide up to 120,000 meals for those in need.
There are several ways to get involved:
- Kick-Off Event: April 4, 9 AM – 5 PM at local grocery stores
- Close the Gap Event: April 11, 9 AM – 1 PM at participating locations
- Online donations: Available all week at hcfooddrive.org
Whether you’re picking up a few extra items at the store or making a donation online, your support helps ensure that individuals and families across Hancock County have access to the food they need. We thank our Police Department for their continued commitment to serving our community—both on and off duty—and we encourage everyone who is able to join in this important effort.
Together, Ellsworth shows up.
