Each year the City of Ellsworth participates in an E-Waste Collection and a Household Hazardous Waste and Universal Waste Collection. The E-Waste Collection is put on by the noon-time Rotary each July. This year the E-Waste Collection will occur on July 22nd from 7-12 at the Home Depot parking lot. The “fee” is by donation only which benefits high school scholarships. All Ellsworth residents and businesses are welcome. The Household Hazardous Waste and Universal Waste Collection is put on by Hancock County Planning Commission each August. The City has not received word from Hancock County Planning Commission on the exact date of when their collection will occur this year, but will be sure notify residents as soon as we have more information.
