The Maine Burn Permit System is down due to a software issue. Burn permits for the City of Ellsworth can be obtained at the Fire Department, 1 City Hall Plaza, between the hours of 9am and 5pm. The Fire Department does not issue permits over the phone, or for greater than 1 day. We apologize for the inconvenience.
