There will be a special meeting of the Ellsworth Historic Preservation Commission on October 5, 2023 at 3:45 PM in City Council Chambers. The subject of the meeting is to work on developing a series of informative lecture/training sessions for the commissioners and the public on the subject of Historic Preservation. The topics we hope to cover include the advantages of becoming either local or National landmarks and we will also discuss nominations and how to apply for designation. We also will be addressing the issues of forming historic districts and becoming a certified local government. We will have a guest speaker to answer any questions. This is an open meeting and the public is invited to attend.
