Ellsworth, ME – June 26th, 2024 – The City of Ellsworth is pleased to announce significant updates to our municipal finance team, aimed at enhancing our financial management and transparency. We are proud to appoint Nate Moore as the permanent Finance Director and to welcome Zachary Turner, who will join our team on August 12th as the new Finance Manager.
Finance Director: Nate Moore
Nate Moore, who has been serving as the Interim Finance Director, brings a wealth of experience with 17 years of non-profit financial management and compliance. In his new role as Finance Director, Nate will oversee the City of Ellsworth’s overall financial strategy, budgeting, and financial reporting. His expertise will be instrumental in ensuring prudent fiscal management and accountability. Nate’s leadership and dedication have already made a positive impact, and we are confident in his ability to continue guiding our financial operations effectively.
Finance Manager: Zachary Turner
We are also excited to welcome Zachary Turner as our new Finance Manager, starting on August 12th. Zachary comes to us with 7 years of municipal finance and accounting experience, most recently as the Finance Director of Orono, Maine. In his role, he will support the Finance Director in day-to-day financial operations, including accounts management, financial analysis, reconciliations, and compliance. Zachary’s background and skills make him a valuable addition to our team, and we look forward to the contributions he will make towards our financial goals.
