The City of Ellsworth announces a temporary overnight parking ban in several municipal parking lots to allow for scheduled line striping. This maintenance is essential for improving the visibility and organization of parking spaces.
The parking ban will be in effect at the following locations:
City Hall lower parking lot
School Street Parking Lot
Water Street Parking Lot
The ban will be enforced from midnight to 6 a.m. on the following dates:
Thursday, July 10, into Friday, July 11
Friday, July 11, into Saturday, July 12
Saturday, July 12, into Sunday, July 13
Sunday, July 13, into Monday, July 14
To minimize disruption, crews will conduct the work in a phased approach. For the first two nights, only the center parking spots will be affected, allowing vehicles to park in the outer spots. The following nights, the ban will be reversed, with crews working on the outer spots while the center spots remain open for parking.
Please note: On-street parking in downtown Ellsworth will not be affected by this ban.
All vehicles must be removed from the designated areas during the specified hours to allow crews to complete the work safely and efficiently. The City appreciates the public’s cooperation and patience as we work to maintain our city infrastructure.
