The State owned road, Boat Launch Drive, leading to the Branch Lake State Park and boat launch, has been closed for the winter season by the Maine Bureau of Parks & Lands. The gate at the end of Branchview Drive is now open for Branch Lake State Park and boat ramp access from Branchview Drive until next spring, when the procedure will be reversed.
