All residents and businesses on City of Ellsworth water are asked to conserve water immediately until further notice.
We are experiencing an issue with the main water line coming into town on Bucksport Road and will be replacing a malfunctioning pressure-reducing valve. This work is necessary to protect the system and maintain service.
💧 What we’re asking:
Please limit water use as much as possible starting right now. This conservation order remains in effect until you hear directly from us that it has been lifted. A sincere thank you to Jackson Laboratory, who has committed to reducing their water usage by 75% during this time to support the community.
Our crews are working as quickly and safely as possible to resolve the issue, and we are committed to keeping you informed every step of the way. We will share updates as soon as normal operations are restored.
Thank you for your cooperation, patience, and community spirit as we work through this emergency together. If you have questions or concerns, please call the Water Department at 207-667-8632.
