Public Notice – Property Assessment Inspections
Beginning March 23, 2026, the City of Ellsworth will be conducting building permit follow-up inspections for property assessment purposes.
The City has engaged Municipal Consulting Group (MCG) to assist with verifying construction associated with issued building permits so the City’s property assessment records remain accurate and up to date.
MCG staff may visit properties where permits have been issued for improvements such as new construction, additions, garages, decks, and other structures. During these visits, inspectors may measure improvements, take photographs to document the work completed, and ensure municipal records accurately reflect the property.
These inspections are for assessment and property record purposes only and are not related to building code enforcement or compliance inspections.
In most cases, inspections will consist of a brief exterior review of the property to verify the status of the improvement.
