Absentee Ballots are available in the City Clerk’s Office at Ellsworth City Hall for City of Ellsworth and Fletchers Landing Township registered voters!

All Absentee Ballot requests submitted by online, telephone, or written must be received by the Municipal Clerk by the close of business on Thursday, October 29, 2020, to request an absentee ballot and take it home to vote without a special circumstance.

On October 30, 2020 from 8 AM to 7:00 PM absentee ballots may be voted in the Clerk’s presence only without a special circumstance.

On November 2, 2020 and November 3, 2020 absentee ballots may only be issued with a Special Circumstances request form.

The “special circumstances” are:

  • An unexpected absence from the municipality during the entire time the polls are open on Election Day (7:00 AM – 8:00 PM);
  • A physical disability;
  • An inability to travel to the polls because the voter is a resident of a coastal island ward or precinct;
  • An incapacity or illness that has resulted in the voter being unable to leave home or a treatment facility.

As stated in (Title 21-A §753-B.2) and amended by the Governor’s Order #8FY20/21, dated August 26, 2020.

All four Ellsworth Polling places will be open for voting on November 3, 2020 from 7:00 AM – 8:00 PM

Please note: Ward Two/Fletcher’s Landing voters wishing to vote in person on November 3, will vote at 4 Old Mill Road (Your Place Community Center), this has been changed from 283 State Street, Church of Christ.
