Ref; Robert “Bobby” Dorr
It is with great sadness the Ellsworth Fire Department announces the passing of Robert “Bobby” Dorr on May 5th 2021. Bobby Joined the Ellsworth Fire Department as a Paid – On- Call firefighter in August of 2009, and was hired as a career firefighter in October of 2010. Bobby quickly rose through the ranks serving as Lieutenant, Captain and most recently appointed Deputy Chief of the Ellsworth Fire Department in January of 2021. Bobby also served as the lead instructor for the Hancock County Fire Academy for many years. Bobby was recently honored as the recipient of the Joel Barnes Community Service Award. Rest easy brother. We will take it from here….
We ask that everyone keep Bobby’s family in their thoughts and prayers in their time of grief. Please do not attempt to contact Bobby’s family at this time. Any communications can be referred to Captain Tyler Kennedy.
