City of Ellsworth Comprehensive Plan’s July 29th Expo Event
Ellsworth, ME, July 24, 2023—The City of Ellsworth has been in the beginning stages of its Comprehensive Plan update. While the consultants at BerryDunn are working on the existing conditions portion of the plan, the Steering Committee has been actively spreading the word and creating excitement and energy around the plan’s update.
On June 16th, the Steering Committee held an introductory expo event at the Franklin Street Parklet. Tables were set up with information pertaining to each chapter of the Comprehensive Plan and community members could sign up to receive more information on topics that captured their interest. Attendees to the event were also given the chance to win prizes from local businesses in several raffle drawings.
With the success of the initial community expo, the Steering Committee is hosting a second event at Knowlton Park on July 29th from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. The event will have the same programming as the June expo, but will hopefully attract a different intersection of Ellsworth residents. Residents will again be able to sign up for more information on the planning process and be entered into a raffle to win prizes!
