Today, February 1st 2023, the Hancock County Superior Court ruled in favor of the City of Ellsworth by denying the Temporary Restraining Order on the relocation of our much needed police station building. The City of Ellsworth is very pleased with the Court’s ruling and is filled with hope that this matter will be resolved efficiently and equitably. While this is not the end of the road on this matter, the City, along with our fantastic legal team, is very confident that these proceedings will result in a ruling in favor of the City on the remaining issues. The City looks forward to when this matter is resolved and City Staff can focus all of their time and energy on moving the City forward and serving the citizens of Ellsworth in a productive way. The City is very thankful to the citizens of Ellsworth for their support and we look forward to more favorable rulings on this matter.
