Sometimes the biggest difference is made by people who simply roll up their sleeves and get to work.

Last Sunday, June 28, 2026, nine dedicated volunteers from the Ellsworth Moose Lodge spent six hours spreading mulch along High Street, helping keep one of our busiest corridors looking its very best.

In total, they donated an incredible 54 hours of volunteer labor to help beautify our community.

This project was made possible through the generosity of several local businesses that stepped up to support the effort:

🌿 Atlantic Landscape Construction generously donated 20 yards of mulch.

🚜 Diversified Contracting donated the use of a tractor.

🚛 Dollard Hill Firewood donated a dump truck to help move materials.

Together, these volunteers and local businesses donated their time, equipment, and resources to make Ellsworth a more beautiful place for everyone.

To the Moose Lodge volunteers, Atlantic Landscape Construction, Diversified Contracting, and Dollard Hill Firewood—thank you. Your generosity, community spirit, and willingness to lend a hand make a real difference.

This is what The Friendly City is all about.
