The City of Ellsworth Registrar of Voters will be open from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on June 9, 2016 in preparation for the June 14, 2016 State of Maine Primary Election and City of Ellsworth School Budget Validation Municipal Election. Sample ballots for both elections can be viewed at www.ellsworthmaine.gov.
Ellsworth residents are encouraged to absentee vote, register to vote, and make name and address corrections to their current registrations during this time.
IMPORTANT REMINDER: Absentee Ballot REQUESTS must be received by the Municipal Clerk by the close of business on Thursday, June 9, 2016 unless special circumstances exist. (Title 21-A §753-B.2)
IMPORTANT NOTICE
No Green Party Candidates qualified by Primary Petition or as declared write-in candidates for the offices and districts covering Ellsworth. Therefore, there is no Green Independent Primary ballot. If you wish to vote at the June 14, 2016 State of Maine Primary Election you must be registered in the Democratic or Republican Party by May 27, 2016. Changing party affiliation will require the voter to remain in that party for 3 months.
Registered Green Party and un-enrolled voters will only be issued the Municipal Ballot.
