Do you own a historic building in downtown Ellsworth?
If so, you might be interested in the City’s historic survey project. The City has hired Artifex Architects to update the data on historic resources in the downtown area. They will be visiting properties and taking photos from the public right of way in April and May 2023. They will also do some background research on the properties using available records from the Historical Society and other sources. The resulting documents of the historic survey will be linked to the City’s Geographic Information System (GIS). This project will help the City preserve and promote its historic heritage.
