Dear Team,
We are writing to share an update regarding the relocation of the Human Resources Department. HR has officially moved to the Union River Center for Innovation (URCI) building at 415 Water Street.
We recognize that moving HR out of City Hall is a change, and we appreciate everyone’s flexibility during this transition. This move provides several benefits, including increased privacy for sensitive employee matters, strategic use of the URCI building, and additional meeting space available to City departments.
Going forward, HR meetings will be scheduled by appointment for all departments. This helps ensure availability and avoids unnecessary travel, as we will continue to move between URCI and City Hall. If you have an emergency, please call ahead.
How to schedule an appointment:
- Email link: Click “Book a time to meet with me” in Kerri’s or Lorina’s email signature to schedule a 30-minute appointment.
- Paychex: Submit a Paychex ticket requesting an HR appointment.
- Phone or Microsoft Teams: Call or message us for quick questions or to request an appointment.
Phone system updates (temporary):
- Kerri: Extension 119 forwards to her work cellphone
- Lorina: Extension 110 forwards to her personal cellphone
- HR Direct Number: 669-6603 forwards to Kerri’s work cellphone
- Both Kerri and Lorina are also available via Microsoft Teams (chat, audio, or video)
Note: IT is currently working on a new phone system for City Hall, expected to be implemented within the next two months. Additional updates will be shared as the project progresses.
We would like to thank the Facilities, I.T., and Highway Departments for their work preparing the new HR offices. Their efforts have created a professional and welcoming space for employees.
HR remains fully accessible and committed to supporting all employees. An Open House at URCI will be scheduled after the New Year, with more details to follow.
