AGENDA

The regular meeting of the Ellsworth Board of Appeals on Monday November 22, 2021 at 6:30PM, for consideration on the following requests:

1. ADOPTION OF MINUTES: from September 13, 2021 meeting.

2. HEARING AND CONSIDERATION: Request of V. Kelly Bellis for a variance to the front setback encroaching 8’ into the (20’) setback for the construction of a bulkhead basement entry to remove of an old oil tank from the cellar and to install a new one at the property located at 17 Union Street (Tax Map 137 Lot 95), in the Neighborhood Zone.

3. HEARING AND CONSIDERATION: Continued – Discovery issues and arguments on the Request of Wal-Mart real Estate Business Trust, appealing FY 2021 tax bill for 17 Myrick Street (Tax Map 16 Lot 53), located in the “C” Commercial Zone.

4. STAFF COMMENTS: Update on optional policy for Remote Participation in Public Proceedings.

5. ADJOURNMENT

Procedure for public participation in Board of Appeal meetings:

Meetings will be held in the City Hall Council Chambers at 1 City Hall Plaza with only the allowable number of participants based on maintaining social distancing guidelines. All public comments on agenda items will need to be made from City Hall during the meeting. Emailed questions and public comments will no longer be read aloud throughout the meeting; individuals are welcome to email code@ellsworthmaine.gov to share their feedback by 4:00pm on the day of the meeting for the Board Members to review.

Meetings will continue to be broadcast live on the City of Ellsworth, Maine Facebook page and YouTube Page; as well as recorded and made available live on Spectrum Channel 1303.
