A quick heads-up for anyone planning a trip to the Ellsworth Transfer Station this Saturday.
The recycling building at the Ellsworth Transfer Station will be closed on Saturday, August 15, 2026.
Trash will still be accepted Saturday, so residents may continue to use the Transfer Station for regular trash disposal.
A Reminder About Cardboard
The temporary pause on cardboard recycling also remains in effect. The Transfer Station is not accepting cardboard until further notice while the cardboard baler is out of service.
If you are able to hold onto your cardboard, please flatten it and keep it clean and dry in a garage, shed or other covered location until cardboard collection resumes.
We appreciate everyone’s patience as our team works through these temporary interruptions and will let the community know when cardboard recycling is available again.
