UPDATE 8/25/2025: The water leak has been repaired.
The road will reopen for traffic this afternoon; however, Tomorrow (8/26) Water Street will be closed from the Washington Street intersection to the Foster Street intersection. Foster Street will be open with left turns onto Water Street ONLY.
On Wednesday, crews will maintain one lane of alternating traffic on Water Street/Bayside Road while final road work is completed.

Beginning Monday, August 25 at 6:00 AM, crews will be working on a complex water main repair at the end of Foster Street and across Water Street.
To complete this work, Foster Street and Water Street / Bayside Road will be closed to thru traffic from Washington Street to Beechland Road. These closures will remain in effect until the repairs are completed, which could take several days.
🚧 Local Traffic Only will be permitted during this time. Access will be maintained as follows:
🚗 Residents & Businesses on Foster Street → Access from the High Street end.
🚗 Residents between Foster Street and Beechland Road → Access from the Beechland Road end.
🚗 Residents between Washington Street and Foster Street → Access from the Washington Street side.
💧Please Note: There may be a temporary disruption in water service on Foster Street on Monday.
