Good news, Ellsworth!
The City’s streetlight replacement project is scheduled to begin the week of June 15, 2026. Crews will be working throughout the community to install new LED streetlights, replacing aging fixtures that have become increasingly difficult to maintain.
While the project is contractually scheduled through the end of July, the contractor hopes to complete the work well ahead of that timeline. As with any outdoor project, progress will depend on weather conditions and equipment availability.
Residents may notice crews working in various locations around the city over the coming weeks. Temporary disruptions should be minimal, but we appreciate your patience as this important infrastructure improvement moves forward.
