A heartfelt thank-you to everyone who came out to Foster Street to help plant trees for the City of Ellsworth! It was inspiring to see neighbors, friends, members of the School Department, and community volunteers working side by side with our Parks and Recreation Department and Arbor Commission.
Thanks to your efforts, 22 new trees now line Foster Street — trees that will offer shade on hot summer days, clean the air, ease the strain on our stormwater system, and help filter water flowing into the Union River Watershed.
A special thank-you as well to the private property owners who welcomed trees in their front yards, helping extend this effort beyond the right-of-way. Building a stronger, greener community takes teamwork, and your support makes all the difference. 🌱
