Today, Sunday, April 19, 2026 kicks off National Volunteer Appreciation Week. The City of Ellsworth is proud to recognize two outstanding members of our community.
Volunteer of the Year: Rain Perez
Rain gives generously of her time each week volunteering at the Ellsworth Public Library, serves as a Library Trustee, and supports organizations including Ellsworth Rainbow Girls and Ellsworth Pride. Her dedication and community spirit make Ellsworth a better place for everyone.
Volunteer Business of the Year: Franklin Savings Bank
From supporting Heart of Ellsworth events and activities in the Franklin Street Parklet to investing in scholarships and local business initiatives, Franklin Savings Bank is a true partner in strengthening Ellsworth.
We look forward to celebrating both honorees at the April 20, 2026, City Council Meeting.
