If your home received damage during the December 17-21 storm this news may be helpful to you.

President Biden approved the State of Maine’s request for a Major Disaster Declaration for the storm and flooding that took place December 17-21, 2023. The disaster declaration applies to ten Maine counties, including Hancock County, that experienced damage. Homeowners with very low incomes, such as seniors and young families in these counties, may now be eligible for grants and loans through USDA Rural Development’s “504 Home Repair” pilot program to address storm damages to their homes.
