The city of Ellsworth is currently recruiting volunteers to serve on the Planning Board. The board plays an important role in the city — members review development proposals, proposed zoning changes and ordinance amendments, and conduct public hearings to get input from residents.

Members serve as volunteers (unpaid) and typically attend one meeting per month.
