The Water Department will be flushing hydrants in the following areas, Monday, December 15, 2025, from approximately 2:30–5:00 PM:
• Surry Road
• Water Street
• State Street
During this time, you may notice cloudy or discolored water. This is normal during flushing and the water is safe to use and drink.
There will be valve replacement work done on Tuesday, December 16. During the valve replacement work on Tuesday, December 16, water customers may experience fluctuations in pressure and they may also experience some discoloration in the water. The water department will be flushing to help with the discoloration, once the valves have been replaced the pressure should be back to normal.
