NOTICE OF FINDING OF NO SIGNIFICANT IMPACT

NOTICE TO ALL INTERESTED PERSONS

 The State of Maine, Department of Environmental Protection, has issued a Finding of No Significant Impact in compliance with Section C of the State of Maine’s Clean Water State Revolving Fund Rules, Chapter 595, on behalf of the City of Ellsworth, Maine, as part of the environmental review requirements.

The name of the proposed project is the High Street Pump Station Upgrade Project.  The purpose of the project is to upgrade the existing High Street wastewater pump station that has served its useful life and in need of immediate upgrade. The project entails demolition of the existing below grade pump station, construction of a new wet well, and construction of a new pump station building.

A review of the proposed action by the DEP has indicated that it will not result in a significant adverse impact to the environment.  Therefore, a Finding of No Significant Impact has been issued for the project.

Further records regarding the project are on file and are available for public review at the Ellsworth City Hall, 1 City Hall Plaza, Ellsworth, Maine, and the offices of the Department of Environmental Protection, 17 State House Station, Augusta, Maine.

Comments relative to this decision may be submitted within thirty days of this notice to Tom Herer of Woodard & Curran at therer@woodardcurran.com or Camden Clark of the State of Maine DEP at Camden.T.Clark@maine.gov.
