Fluorescent bulbs contain mercury and by law you cannot throw them into the waste stream. You can dispose of fluorescent light bulbs during our Household Hazardous Waste Collection.
At other times, you may take fluorescent bulbs to Coastal Recycling on Route 182 in Hancock and dispose of them free of charge. For more information call (207)422-6766. (Service is for households only.)
