The City of Ellsworth will be performing water system maintenance on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, on Pleasant Street to where it intersects Bucksport Road.
This work involves replacing a water gate valve, an important upgrade that helps maintain the reliability and safety of our water system.
🚧 What to expect:
- Water service will be temporarily shut off on Pleasant Street
- Timeframe: Approximately 8 am to 2 pm
We understand that any interruption to water service is inconvenient, and we appreciate your patience as this necessary work is completed.
💧 Boil Water Notice (Possible):
Depending on conditions during and after the work, a boil water order may be required. At this time, that determination has not yet been made.
Residents are encouraged to:

- Be prepared in case a boil water notice is issued
