Absentee Ballot requests are now available in the City Clerk’s Office at Ellsworth City Hall for City of Ellsworth and Fletchers Landing Township registered voters!
All Absentee Ballot requests submitted online, by telephone, or written must be received by the Municipal Clerk by the close of business on Thursday, October 31, 2024, to request an absentee ballot and take it home to vote without a special circumstance.
On October 31, 2024, from 8 AM to 7:00 PM absentee ballots may be voted in the Clerk’s presence only without a special circumstance.
On November 1-5TH 2024 absentee ballots may only be issued with a Special Circumstances request form. The “special circumstances” are:

- An unexpected absence from the municipality during the entire time the polls are open on Election Day (7:00 AM – 8:00 PM).
- A physical disability.
- An inability to travel to the polls because the voter is a resident of a coastal island ward or precinct.
- An incapacity or illness that has resulted in the voter being unable to leave home or a treatment facility.
Ellsworth polling places will be open on November 5th, 2024 from 7:00 AM – 8:00 PM
