City Hall will be open for voting, but closed for regular City business on Tuesday, November 3, 2026.

As an official Election Day voting location, Ellsworth City Hall will be welcoming voters throughout the day on Tuesday, November 3. To help accommodate the anticipated high voter turnout and ensure a safe, organized and efficient voting experience, the City will temporarily close its public-facing service counters for regular City business.

This means residents will be able to visit City Hall to cast their ballots, but services such as routine transactions and other in-person City business will not be available that day.

Why Is City Hall Closing for Regular Business?

Conducting safe, secure and well-organized elections is an important responsibility, and one the City of Ellsworth takes seriously. By limiting non-election-related activity in the building, we can help manage foot traffic, reduce congestion and allow election officials to focus on serving voters while maintaining the security and integrity of the election process. This temporary adjustment is one of the many steps the City takes to support smooth Election Day operations.

Need to Take Care of City Business? Plan Ahead!

We encourage residents who need to visit City Hall for regular City services to stop by on one of these days instead:

  • Monday, November 2
  • Wednesday, November 4
  • Thursday, November 5

City Hall will be available for regular City business on those days during normal business hours.

We Look Forward to Seeing You at the Polls!

While our regular service counters will be closed on Election Day, City Hall will be busy welcoming voters! We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as our election team works to provide a safe, secure and efficient voting experience for the Ellsworth community.

Have City business? We’ll see you Monday, Wednesday or Thursday. Coming to vote? We’ll see you Tuesday, November 3!

Thank you, Ellsworth, for helping us make Election Day run smoothly. For additional election information, please visit the City’s Elections webpage.
