It’s been a meaningful week or so for Ellsworth—and it shows.
From the creativity of our students to the generosity of our volunteers and the continued recognition of our historic downtown, these recent stories highlight what makes our community so special.
Local students brought color and purpose to downtown with Earth Day flags, turning our streets into a celebration of creativity and environmental stewardship.

At the same time, members of the Ellsworth Moose Lodge came together to build a new deck—free of charge—for a local Navy veteran, a powerful reminder of the care and compassion that runs deep in this community.
And in a moment of lasting significance, downtown Ellsworth was officially recognized as a historic district, honoring both our past and the ongoing efforts to preserve and invest in our future.

Individually, each of these stories is worth celebrating. Together, they tell a bigger story—one of connection, pride, and people who show up for one another.
This is Ellsworth.
