Ellsworth Police Department Invites Community to tour the New Police Station

Ellsworth, Maine – The Ellsworth Police Department is thrilled to welcome the community to view the new police station located at 416 High Street, Ellsworth this Friday, September 29th from 3 to 7 PM.

Visitors will have the opportunity to tour the new facility, see the infrastructure upgrades, check out a police cruiser, and meet Tag the Police K9. Light refreshments will be provided. This event is an excellent opportunity for the community to get to know their local law enforcement better and learn about the resources available to them.

“This open house at the new Ellsworth Police station is a testament to our commitment to enhance public safety and better serve the needs of our community, officers, and communications staff,” said Chief Glenn Moshier. “The officers look forward to greeting the community on Friday.”

The new facility addresses operational and functional deficiencies in the current station housed in the City Hall building. The new station is 8400 square feet, increased from 1200 sq. ft. in City Hall, features an upgraded communications center, accessible visitor entry and comfortable waiting area, patrol offices, interview rooms, and improved evidence storage area.

Visitors can park in the upper lot in front of the building. Overflow parking is in the rear of the building. For more information, contact the non-emergency line at (207)667-2168.
