Harbor Commission Meeting Notice and Agenda for Wednesday, April 23 2025

MEETING NOTICE 

The regular monthly meeting of the Ellsworth Harbor Commission will be held on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at 6:00 PM in the Ellsworth City Hall Fire Department training room. 

 AGENDA  

1.  Call to Order. 
2. Adoption of minutes from January meeting. 
3. Dredge update. 
   1. Army Corps is working on a repositioning of the designated travel channel, awaiting another survey and approval by C.G. 
   2. One option being considered for dredge material disposal involves transporting the spoils up to the City Pit. 
4. Update from City Council  
5. Harbor management report.  
   1. Pavement project 
   2. Picnic gazabo replacement – both old structures have been removed, and the plan is to install new pergolas on concrete slabs
6. Harbor budget. The City Manager budget requests another flat funded year for operations but has requested funding for some capital projects (as noted above). Harbor Commission Chair requested Alwives income be accounted for in Harbor Revenue
7. Consider expanded scope of Harbor Commission management of waterways  
   1. Freshwater resources  
   2. updated H.M. job description
