Our spring street sweeping crews are making great progress across Ellsworth, with many areas already completed and several more scheduled in the coming weeks.

Street sweeping helps remove winter sand, salt, and debris from roadways, improves drainage, and helps keep our streets looking their best as we head into the warmer months.

Several daytime, nighttime, and outer road routes have already been completed.

📅 Upcoming Sweeping Areas Include:

Daytime In-Town Sweeping

  • Week of May 11: West side of High Street area
  • Week of May 18: West side of Union River area
  • Week of June 1: West side of Oak area
  • Week of June 8: School area
  • Week of June 15: Outer State area

Upcoming Nighttime Sweeping

  • Week of May 18: Myrick Street & Downeast Highway
  • Week of June 1: Franklin Street City parking lots
  • Week of June 8: Schools

Please use caution around sweeping crews and, when possible, avoid parking on streets scheduled for sweeping to help crews work safely and efficiently. As always, weather may affect the schedule.

Thank you for your patience as crews continue working to clean up Ellsworth after a long winter!
