We wanted to provide a quick update on the culvert repair work planned for Surry Road near the Black House. Unfortunately, the contractor was unable to begin work as originally scheduled this week, so the project has been delayed temporarily. We know many drivers were looking forward to a smoother ride — especially those trying to keep coffee in their cups while traveling through the area! The good news: the project is still planned and moving forward. We simply need to wait a little longer for crews to arrive and begin the work.
We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding, and we’ll share updated scheduling information as soon as it becomes available. Until then… hold onto those coffees. ☕
