The City of Ellsworth Water Department has successfully repaired the water main break on Lower Grant Street, and water service has been restored to affected customers.
The Boil Water Order remains in effect until further notice for customers on:
- Grant Street
- Liberty Street
- Chapel Street
- Willow Street
- Youngs Avenue
Residents and businesses in the affected area should continue to boil all water for at least five minutes before drinking, making ice, washing foods, brushing teeth, or any other activity involving the consumption of water.
The Boil Water Order will remain in place while the Water Department conducts the required water quality testing. Once testing confirms the water is safe, the City will notify the public that the advisory has been lifted.
