Today, we celebrate Earth Day … a reminder of the importance of caring for the place we all call home.
Here in Ellsworth, that care shows up in meaningful ways every day. From students creating Earth Day flags that now brighten our downtown, to volunteers who clean up our roadsides, maintain trails, and support local environmental efforts. This community leads by example.
Earth Day also falls during National Volunteer Appreciation Week, making it the perfect time to recognize the many individuals and organizations who give their time and energy to keep Ellsworth clean, welcoming, and connected.
Whether it’s a small act or a large effort, every contribution matters.
