Nearly three decades after artist George Stave captured a familiar downtown scene, his painting has returned to the very place that inspired it.
Sometimes a piece of history finds its way home. On September 30, 2026, a special delivery arrived at Ellsworth City Hall. It wasn’t a package of office supplies, a new piece of equipment or another document requiring a signature.
