The tank near the High School will undergo maintenance in October to address leaks in the tank. This work may result in customers experiencing lower than normal water pressure in that area.
The work will begin on Thursday, October 5th by draining the tank through Monday. On Monday, the 9th, a crew will arrive to prepare scaffolding and start prep work for the repair. The repair work is estimated to take the remainder of the week. After the work is done, the tank will be washed and disinfected. Then the Water Department will take water samples for bacteria and volatiles (VOC’s) testing, which will take a few days for the results to come back. Once testing is completed and samples come back clean/negative, the tank will be refilled over the next two days. The Water Department anticipates the tank will be offline for two weeks.
