As part of our ongoing effort to ensure clear, professional, and consistent communication across all City departments (and beyond), we’re introducing a standard email signature format for all City of Ellsworth staff, as mentioned in the first newsletter – 1 Ellsworth insider Nov 2025

A consistent signature helps present a unified image of the City, makes it easy for residents and partners to contact us, and reinforces trust and professionalism in every message we send.

Going forward, please update your email signature to the format below. Please remove any personal quotes, graphics, or logos from your signature to maintain a professional and consistent look across departments.

Use Calibri font, size 11, no italics

First and Last Name, credentials if applicable
Your Title  |  Department Name
youremail@ellsworthmaine.gov
Work Street Address
Ellsworth, ME, 04605
Office: ###-###-####

I created an instruction sheet for updating our signatures. Click below for that information.

Create your signature and choose when Outlook adds a signature to your messages in Outlook

After the signature is built, we will hyperlink the City Facebook page. I created an instruction sheet for that as well. And click below for that info sheet. These two documents are in Word and will drop into your Downloads after clicking.

Add Facebook link to your current email signature

If you need help updating your email signature, Nate and Jason, our incredible IT team will be happy to assist. Thank you for helping us represent the City of Ellsworth with pride, clarity, and professionalism in every message we send.

Warm regards,
Amy Kenney
